Fennel sweet
Foeniculum vulgare
Characteristics: A colourless to pale yellow liquid with a very sweet, aniseed-like, slightly earthy-peppery scent.
Blends well with: Geranium, lavender, sandalwood and rose.
Actions: Aperitif, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, depurative, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, galactagogue, laxative, orexigenic, stimulates circulation, splenic, stomachic, tonic, vermifuge.

Skin care: Bruises, dull, oily mature complexions, pyorrhea.
Circulation, Muscles and Joints: Cellulitis, obesity, edema, rheumatism.
Respiratory System: Asthma, bronchitis.
Digestive System: Anorexia, colic, constipation, dyspepsia, flatulence, hiccough, nausea.
Genito-urinary System: Amenorrhea, lactation, menopausal problems.
Safety Information: Non- irritant, relatively non- toxic, narcotic in large doses, non-sensitizing. Not to be used by epileptics or during pregnancy. Use in moderation <0.5%. Bitter fennel should not be used on the skin at all.
